What to do at a crash scene

Get medical help

Was anyone injured? Call an ambulance or 911.

Gather information about the vehicles and drivers involved

• Licence plate number, Province/state
• Vehicle year, make & model
• Driver's name, licence number and contact details
• Vehicle owner's name and contact details (if different from driver)
• Insurance details (if vehicle not from B.C.)

Gather information about the crash scene

• Time & date of crash
• Location of crash
• Vehicles' directions of travel
• Names and contact details for any witnesses (get witness licence plate numbers)
• Report a claim to ICBC
